Singapore As Antioch

SINGAPORE AS ANTIOCH

Series: Antioch

Despite globalization and technological advances today, many in the world still do not know who Christ is and what He has done for them. Just within the 7-hour flight radius of Singapore alone, there are 1.6 billion people who haven't heard the Good News. How can we fulfill our missional calling to bring the love of Christ to them?

Discussion Guide

1) God does not just want to bless His people so that we have an easy and comfortable life. He desires to use us for His purpose - to imitate His character and mediate His presence to all on earth. How does knowing this change the way you relate to God and live your life?

Examine your prayer life - how often do you pray to seek and follow God's will, or are your prayers mainly about asking God to fulfill your will? How do you think you can live out God's will for you where He has placed you - in your family, workplace, and relationships?

2) Fulfilling the Great Commission includes proclaiming the Gospel, positively influencing the community and serving the needy.

Which of these three aspects are you doing well in? Which do you tend to neglect? Which aspect would you want to strengthen, and how would you go about doing so? Would you consider making a mission trip? Why or why not? Mission trips are great opportunities to bring people the Gospel that has the power to transform their lives. Which country would you consider a short-term/long-term trip to? What steps can you take to prepare yourself for it? Consider the10/40 window where an estimated 1.6 billion people have never heard the Gospel. How do you think you and your LG can contribute to bringing the Gospel to them? Even if you are unwilling to step out of Singapore, you can still meet many foreigners from different countries who are making a living here. God has brought them to our doorsteps. How can we bring the Gospel to them?
