Going Out Into The Harvest

Jesus said to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation. But how do we go about doing this? Pick up tips on how you can share the Good News with those around you, and how you can use your testimony to help change lives.

Discussion Guide

1) Sharing Your Testimony

Your testimony is your story of how God has transformed your life. Did you have the opportunity to share your testimony in the past week? How did the opportunity come about? How did your listener respond? What have you learnt from the experience? Your listeners may come from different backgrounds, with various needs and concerns. How would the way you present your testimony be tailored to different kinds of audiences? Practise your 3-minute testimony with the following audience in mind: (a) a 10-year old boy (b) a teenager (c) the colleague sitting next to you (d) an elderly person. Practise with a particular person in mind, preferably someone who you plan to share with in the coming week!

2) Sharing the Gospel

After we share the Bridge Diagram, we may encounter people who have more questions about Jesus and Christianity. What are some of the common questions that people may ask? How would you prepare yourself to answer those questions? Do you have any personal experiences to share? How did your audience respond to you?

3) Making the Big Ask

As you invite people to receive Jesus, there may be some who are not ready to do so at this point in time. What are some hindrances that people may have? How would you follow up on them? Share from your personal experiences. How can your Life Group help one another to get out into the harvest and share the Good News?
